Worship Team Coaching

Typically on a Saturday, 9-3pm. We begin by discussing our calling as a kingdom of priests and what this means for our role as a Worship Team member. Then we work together on your Sunday set list, addressing each musical position, offering tools and encouragement for growth and cohesion.

My goal is to bring the perspective that all are called to lead. When God tore the veil that separated man from God’s presence, he also tore the division between clergy and laity. We are a kingdom of priests (1Pet 2:9), and can approach the worship service as a leader and not just a “helper”.

Schedule a single session or ongoing meeting times to continue your growth as a worship leader. We’ll address questions and specific challenges you would likely face. These are a few other topics we could cover:

• We’ll discuss your responsibilities to other leaders to and those you serve.
• We’ll define the goal of singing together in a gathering, and how the songs we choose can serve or distract from that goal.
• We’ll define the role that the musician plays in serving the Body and each other.
• We’ll address various approaches to song transitions, worship moments, lingering in worship, and other skills beyond simply singing songs.
• We’ll discuss building a worship set, effective prep and rehearsal with a team and practical, affirming feedback after the Sunday Service.
